Several festival-sanctioned events sponsored by local nonprofit organizations take place throughout the weekend. These events, and other events that are specific to children are highlighted below. Other festival-sanctioned events can be found here.

Toads on the Road

March 31 - April 17
Conway Public Schools

Croaker and Dazey, the Toad Suck Daze mascots, will be visiting an elementary  school near you leading up to the festival. The mascots will be helping school administration at morning drop-off. Look for them to visit your school!

April 19
UCA Ida Waldran Auditorium

The Toad Suck Daze Pageant will be held at the UCA Ida Waldran Auditorium.  Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children. 

Girl's divisions begin at 0-6 months with the Itty Bitty Baby Miss Daze up to Miss Daze aged 18-25 years and Mrs. Daze, over 21 and married. There is also a photogenic contest.  All contestants must complete a registration form.  Registration forms and fees can be mailed to the Pageant Director, Renee Stone at Emerge 1023 Oak Street, Conway AR 72032.  Please direct questions to 501-329-5123.  The pageant is produced by Emerge.

Crawl Drag & Squirt

Front Street 

Crawl, Drag & Squirt is an obstacle course that promotes fire safety. Elementary students across Faulkner County have participated in preliminary Crawl, Drag & Squirt competitions at their local schools. A final preliminary competition will take place during Toad Suck Daze on Friday at 5 p.m. at Central Fire Station.

The Crawl, Drag & Squirt finals will occur at 10 a.m. Saturday on Front Street. Thank you to the Conway Fire Department for providing this fun and educational activity for elementary students year after year! Crawl Drag & Squirt is produced by the Conway Fire Department.

Tadpole Trot

Hendrix College Young-Wise Memorial Stadium 

The Toad Suck 10K was started by the Conway Kiwanis Club in 1982.  â€‹Today, the run includes both a 10K and a 5K Run/Walk, a Wheelchair event, a Tadpole Trot for children aged 4-10, and a Hero Hopper race for children with special needs. Since its inception, the Toad Suck Daze Run has generated over $450,000 to local non-profits, and the run strives to increase its contributions to the Faulkner County community each year.
