Several festival-sanctioned events sponsored by local nonprofit organizations take place throughout the weekend. These events, and other events that are specific to children are highlighted below. Other festival-sanctioned events can be found here.

Toads on the Road

March 31 - April 17
Conway Public Schools

Croaker and Dazey, the Toad Suck Daze mascots, will be visiting an elementary school near you leading up to the festival. The mascots will be helping school administration at morning drop-off. Look for them to visit your school!

Virtual Kids Fishing Tournament

April 10-May 1
Around the State

Get ready for the Arkansas Game & Fish Commission Toad Suck Daze Virtual Kids Fishing Tournament! No entry fee, just pure fishing fun for everyone under 16 right here in Arkansas!

Winners will be recognized with prizes for the longest fish in these categories:

Bass, Bream, Crappie, Catfish, Trout and Other (Show us what else you're catching)

How to Enter:

Catch a Fish in Arkansas between April 10 and May 1.
Measure your catch, by laying your fish flat and using a ruler or measuring tape to see how long it is.
Snap a Picture! You MUST be in the picture AND the measurement clearly visible. Also, you need to hold a piece of paper that clearly says: "Toad Suck Daze 2025".
Submit Your Entry by asking a grown-up to send your picture, name, age, where you caught your fish, and its length (in inches) to toadsuck@conwayarkansas.org or post to or direct message Toad Suck Daze on social media.

The longest fish in each category wins, and we'll announce the lucky winners right after the tournament ends on the Toad Suck Daze social media pages! The winning fish pictures will be displayed recognized in the “Toadally Outdoors” area during the festival.

Kids Coloring Contest

April 14 - May 1

Toad Suck Daze wants to see your creativity and coloring skills in the Clayton Conway Kids Coloring Contest! Prizes will be given for each grade level from Pre-K to 5th grade.

Deadline to enter is Thursday, May 1. Winners will be announced on Toad Suck Daze social media and contacted directly.

Coloring pictures will be given to each elementary school in Faulkner County or you can download the picture here to print off at home.

There are two ways to enter:

1. Turn the picture into the Conway Area Chamber of Commerce located at 900 Oak Street, Conway AR 72032 or

2. Have a grown-up take a picture and send to ToadSuck@ConwayArkansas.org.

Make sure to put your Name, Grade Level, and School on your entry. We can't wait to see all your amazing pictures!

Pageant

April 19
UCA Ida Waldran Auditorium

The Toad Suck Daze Pageant will be held at the UCA Ida Waldran Auditorium. Admission is $5 for adults and $3 for children.

Girl's divisions begin at 0-6 months with the Itty Bitty Baby Miss Daze up to Miss Daze aged 18-25 years and Mrs. Daze, over 21 and married. There is also a photogenic contest. All contestants must complete a registration form. Registration forms and fees can be mailed to the Pageant Director, Renee Stone at Emerge 1023 Oak Street, Conway AR 72032. Crawl Drag & Squirt

Front Street

Crawl, Drag & Squirt is an obstacle course that promotes fire safety. Elementary students across Faulkner County have participated in preliminary Crawl, Drag & Squirt competitions at their local schools. A final preliminary competition will take place during Toad Suck Daze on Friday at 5 p.m. at Central Fire Station.

The Crawl, Drag & Squirt finals will occur at 10 a.m. Saturday on Front Street. Thank you to the Conway Fire Department for providing this fun and educational activity for elementary students year after year! Crawl Drag & Squirt is produced by the Conway Fire Department.

Tadpole Trot

Hendrix College Young-Wise Memorial Stadium

The Toad Suck 10K was started by the Conway Kiwanis Club in 1982. Today, the run includes both a 10K and a 5K Run/Walk, a Wheelchair event, a Tadpole Trot for children aged 4-10, and a Hero Hopper race for children with special needs. Since its inception, the Toad Suck Daze Run has generated over $450,000 to local non-profits, and the run strives to increase its contributions to the Faulkner County community each year.
